Engineering microservices pipelines, alerting telemetry aggregates (Splunk, AppDynamics, Grafana), and secure POPIA-compliant transaction databases.
// Subject: V. Solani
I am a Software Engineer currently in a Learnership at Standard Bank South Africa (through March 2027).
My day to day at SB involves the migration of card processing systems to the cloud via the SmartVista Issuing Platform (SVIP), transitioning legacy transactional architectures to AWS. Additionally, I act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Hermes, a microservices-based Go system consolidating transaction alerting metrics from Splunk, AppDynamics, and Grafana across OpenShift and AWS ECS clusters.
Complementing my engineering work, I study part-time towards an MCom in Informatics at North-West University, having obtained my BCom Honours in Information Systems Cum Laude. My interest lies in building robust cloud infrastructures, telemetry frameworks, and secure microservices.
Trilingual (English, isiZulu, isiXhosa, Setswana). Experience spans AES-256 encrypted endpoints, Supabase RLS security, and background telemetry pipelines.
